Tips and Informations for Travelling In Taiwan

- Always keep to your right while taking the escalator especially taking Taipei Metro
Always Q-up while boarding their MRT - Tips to the porters or anyone is not necessary
- Never ask for a discount if you are not interested in buying that item
- Just say "No" to any taxi drivers if you are not taking cabs
- Always ask for the taxi fare before boarding (Some might charge by per trip)
- Don't act smart (Taiwanese also know English, if possible speak mandarin)
- Never make fun of Mr. Sun Yat Sun, Mr. Chiang Kai Shek & Mr. Chiang Ching Kuo
- Never comment on their polities
- Always keep some small notes or coins (They come useful during your night market tour)
- If you are dining in fast food restaurant, please clear your own table before you leave
- Plastic bags are not free. Either you buy it or you bring your own
- Beware of pickpockets when touring night markets
- Taiwan usage of voltage is 110v (Need to buy 2pin plug)
- Water in Taiwan is not purified (If there a need, boil it first or drink from water dispenser)
- Eating & drinking are strictly prohibited on Taipei Metro
